Government shifts cycling up a gear with £64 million funding incentive

Funding available for extra secure cycle storage for local transport authorities

At the end of last month (26 January) Transport Minister Andrew Jones announced thousands more people across the country would be encouraged to cycle and walk to work thanks to a £64 million government investment.

All English transport authorities (outside London) were invited to bid for The Sustainable Access Travel Fund which will support 28 local projects over three years from 2017 to 2020.

Findings from AIMC4 - WWHRS outperforms SAP calculations
